Thunder Valley Rally, Cottonwood, AZ

We have one room left for the September 19th weekend.  Six minutes from the rally, but a quiet and peaceful place to relax and rally for the next day.  The Guest House is a separate building and has a kitchenette, a queen and a twin bed, wifi, tv, private bath, and outside seating to enjoy our star-filled nights. New Southwest Wine Center – A short walk from the Flying Eagle B&B

Yavapai College Teaching Winery Opening – Friday, Sept. 12 at 4:30 p.m. in Clarkdale.  The public is invited to help Yavapai College celebrate the opening of its Teaching Winery at the Southwest Wine Center on Friday, September 12, 4:30 p.m. on the YC Verde Valley Campus, 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale.    The Teaching Winery, adjacent to the College’s vineyard, is part of the Southwest Wine Center, which will serve as the premier academic center supporting wine growers throughout the Southwest U.S. Combining education, research and rural economic development activity, the SWC will support the Southwest’s growing viticulture industry in achieving its potential as a significant U.S. wine-producing region.   Yavapai College, with the help of many community volunteers, has planted 9 acres to date in its 17-acre vineyard.  The College offers a 2-year degree program leading to an AAS in Viticulture and Enology, plus a Viticulture certificate that prepares individuals for various careers in the grape-growing industry.  College Wine Center

Great music and great food at September Rhythm & Ribs in Cottonwood.

Great music and great food at Rhythm & Ribs event in Cottonwood this weekend.  If you were there, you know.  Band members, some from Tennessee and Alabama were loving Arizona, and she surely shined on Friday night.  Remember to visit us at Flying Eagle B&B.  It was a four minute ride to food and concert. The Flying Eagle is a great place to stay for any of our local events.

We are an official Arizona State BBQ Championship! This year there are great young country artists:Benton Blount, Logan Brill, Walker McGuire and American Idol Casey James. Enjoy the Beer Garden with Beer Thirty in the Verde and 25 micro-brews.
